Growing up in the city of Chicago, sustainable living was far from Melissa's future vision!

Fast forward a few years to the sunny state of California, a growing family and an interest in gardening, a new vision was growing - literally growing, alongside hours, days and years working at an urban farm.
​
Melissa took what she learned on the farm and practiced her skills in her suburban front yard and back yard - even creating a YouTube channel. Neighbors began to benefit from her experiments, produce and knowledge: worm farms, composting program, seedlings for sale, potted plants, chicks, home grown eggs, and backyard chicken butchering.
And now Melissa is back on the farm! Forever Learning Homestead is her vision to teach and share through hands-on homesteading.
